Nick came to serve Kishwaukee as its Pastor in 2022 and comes to Illinois from serving several churches, most recently in Texas. He loves teaching and preaching the Word of God, and he does it in a way to show how Scripture matters in our everyday lives. Nick loves encouraging people to take their next step in their journey with Jesus. He is excited to serve in a church that loves Christ, the Word of God and each other. The Gospel is meant to be relational, and he loves living that out in his community. He would be thrilled to meet you for coffee or a meal anytime!
Nick received his B.A. from Texas A&M University and a Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary. He and his amazing wife Beth were married in 2003 and they have two children: Tristen and Avery. When not working, you will find Nick spending time with family, hiking, hunting, riding horses, fishing, skiing, or anything outdoors. He loves history, music, guitars, reading, playing or watching most sports, and cheering on the fightin’ Texas Aggies. He is actively trying to find the best Mexican food and barbecue in northern Illinois.
His favorite passage of Scripture is Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” He invites you to come join our welcoming community at Kish as we actively pursue Christ in our everyday lives.
