FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is available for children on Sunday mornings?

Nursery care is provided during the 10am worship service for kids 3 and under. In addition, from September through May,  we have a children's worship time during the sermon which children 5th grade and under may attend.

What is worship like?

First of all, we believe that worship is primarily an opportunity for believers to glorify God and build each other up through the mutual sharing of gifts and praise. Our hope, before any question of style or preference, is to be a community of people celebrating the truth of God's salvation.

Concretely, we seek to embody the diversity of worship in God's people through singing praise in a variety of musical styles, prayer and confession of sin, the celebration of baptism and the Lord's Supper, and the robust preaching of God's Word.

How should I dress?

Jesus doesn't care, and neither do we. Regular attenders at Kish dress in all kinds of ways, from jeans and t-shirts to suits and ties. Whatever feels natural and appropriate to you is fine with us.

Are you a part of a certain denomination?

We are a part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, an evangelical Protestant denomination. You can find out more about the the EPC here.

Do I have to be a part of your denomination?

Absolutely not. People at Kish come from all different places and have all different beliefs.

Can I take communion?

We celebrate the Lord's Supper twice a month. You don't have to be a member of Kish to participate; the table is open to all who trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation and are members in good standing at any Christian church.
